South Africa - Singapore Business Association (SASBA)

The South Africa - Singapore Business Association (SASBA) was formed in 2000 by a group of South African business people with the support of the SA High Commission with the objectives of promoting South African as a destination for Singaporeans to invest in and form business ties with and offering a forum for South African business people in Singapore to connect with each other and with Singaporean business people.

In 2007, SASBA adopted a mission statement using the original mandate and developed guiding principles and six key action areas to efocus on the needs of its constituent. These are:

To Promote
South Africa as a country for companies in Singapore to invest in and do business with.

To Provide
 - Added business value to members and to facilitate and encourage South African business interests and opportunities in Singapore.

- A network in Singapore facilitating Singapporeans wishing to do business in South Africa and South Africans wishing to do business in Singapore

- A avenue for members to share information,, improve communication and co-ordinate planned activities

- A database of business and cultural intellligence for the region to be available to all members and associations / affiliated organizations.
